I was a late adopter to smartphones (2017 or 2018). Initially bought the cheapest Android I could find and was satisfied with it.
As my mother's condition deteriorated, it became a priority to be able to FaceTime with her, and I got an iPhone 14 Pro Max a couple of years ago. At the same time, I also got a MacBook Pro. The synergy between the two was much better than my previous, albeit halfhearted, attempts with Android and Windows/Linux.
Apple is very, very good at creating a usable and (mostly) friendly ecosystem, and I find myself becoming more integrated as time goes on.

Android. Serious question: why can't iPhoners keep their battery charged?

The Great Unwashed use Android phones.

I’ve been iPhone for years but have been thinking lately about switching to a galaxy. Only thing holding me back is the Apple ecosystem.

Had both, but the Android frickING SHITS on the iPhone. Had an Android for 12 years and I will never ever get anything else.
What's hilarious to me is about 90% of my family and friends have iPhones and they tell me all the time that iPhones are superior, and I die laughing every time because that is absolutely not at all true.

The actual hilarious part about this is they’re laughing together behind your back in that big, beautiful group chat they’re all in and intentionally excluded you from because of how your gay arse android ruins the entire chat.

So many people in this thread I’d never add to a group chat.
Sad.
Sad.

Group chats are probably the most annoying shite ever created for a cell phone.

Spoken like someone who doesn’t have any friends.

There is not much better than getting a slightly racist, fully hilarious meme from the bros at 3am.

Always android, had numerous Galaxy phones with last being a 10+, moved to Pixel 6+ and currently Pixel 7+, they are kind of heavy. One thing I really liked about the Galaxy's was the memory expansion slots, could put a ton of music and photos on those. The P7+ has 500 gigs of storage. Wife is an iPhone lifer.

It is 60/40 Apple in the US. Due to the demographics of this board (leans Gen X white males) I would guess its closer to 70/30 Apple on here. Its human nature though for the minority group to make their case so trying to treat the thread as a poll would be pointless.
I am Apple because its simple, its familiar and my primary friend and family group all use it and at 57 those issues matter more than which one is "better". Android is obviously a heftier platform, and if I gave a shite about that I would switch in a heartbeat.

frick apple and their proprietary not open shite.
I gave up my work Android that I've had for 12 years. But, unfortunately I've switched over to Iphone (15 Pro) bc it has the best camera and photo / film capabilities.
I will say that Iphone does some things better but that overall Samsung integrated with bluetooth, apps, etc., easier.
As an aside, since way before most of you all ever used any Apple product I've been hating on them, due to their proprietary, locked down ways. I'm talking early 80's. I'm a developer at heart. I'm sure I've saved thousands of $$$ by not buying into things like Apple music and all that crap.
