It’s draining my battery like crazy. I used to only have to charge my phone once a day when I came home from work. But ever since I downloaded it, my battery is 20% when I get off and before it would be 40%. I have an iPhone 16 PM.

Same. I just upgraded from an iPhone 13 to a 16 because of the battery and now it’s draining. I’m also noticing that it’s taking forever to charge.

It's temporary. It has to do that to reindex for every major upgrade. Soon as it's finished battery life will go back to normal.

And if you don't like the new look, here's how to turn it off:

Additional Contrast Options
If you're still having legibility issues after enabling Reduce Transparency, return to Settings ? Accessibility ? Display & Text Size, then toggle on Increase Contrast. Note that enabling both Reduce Transparency and Increase Contrast will cause icons to lose most of their translucency.
The Liquid Glass design is still in beta, so Apple will likely continue refining the visual effects based on feedback. A wider official rollout of iOS 26 is expected sometime in September.

It was total garbage when it first rolled out, it's better now. iOS 26 is fine. Like I said on the tech board, CarPlay seems more responsive, and the visual changes are a non issue. I just don't care enough to be upset.

What about the camera app? I was watching a youtube video and switching between photo and video now seems to be very confusing.

When my current iPhone dies, Im getting an Android. I used a Mac on my desktop years ago too, but Apple has basically priced me out of their product line. My oldest son was a big Apple homer, and he's going to switch too. The hassles about the software are just the cherry on top. I just wish someone would make a truly worthy iTunes competitor for the PC.
