Cousin Eddie wasn't gonna hook Ellick up because he didn't have the $50K that week.

It just sucks that we couldn’t get more Eddie probably because both sides don’t trust him.

Reddit Cousin Eddie story.
quote:

2 hr. ago

I’m sorry, but he started planning this the moment the boat wreck started Turning the wrong direction. A civil case is filed, he knows the next thing is going to be a forensic audit of his finances. Around this same time several things happen (1) the two guns disappear (2) payments to “cousin” Eddie begin (3) Paul moves onto the guest cabin at Moselle

I think he used the family guns NOT on accident, he is a very seasoned (volunteer) prosecutor and attorney; more on the reasoning behind this in a min, but the two guns disappeared around the same time weekly SIGNIFICANT payments started to cousin Eddie; Paul moves in the guest cabin at Moselle. He knew forensic audits would come due to the civil suit. If Paul is dead, no civil suit, no discovery, his financial crimes are not found (in his mind at this point). He goes to rehab to clean up knowing he needs a clear mind to pull this off AND knowing he would be scrutinized when they’re killed. Cousin Eddie was going to be the fall guy, more on that in a min along with the missing family guns.

His plan: Cousin Eddie was extorting him and threatening his family so he had to start paying him $50k a week; the guns came up missing so must have been someone close to the family, since family guns were used in the murders. Two guns use to point to two people which helps point away from him (Alex). Maggie and Paul are killed takes care of two birds one stone (looking divorce and financial crimes not uncovered with the forensic audit). Alex staged a flat tire and called Eddie to come, “pay him to shoot him”; Alex gets shot and then kills Eddie, plants the guns in his vehicle and calls police. Eddie came to finish the job and kill Alex and lucky him, is able to kill Eddie in the midst of being killed by Eddie and finds the guns to prove it was Eddie. Problem was Eddie said hell no, and wrestles the gun away from Alex, getting skimmed by a bullet accidentally in the process exactly like Eddie said happened. Alex plan was spoiled because now Eddie has the gun and leaves, thinking Alex wanted him to commit suicide by Eddie shooting him. But why would he do that on the side of the road during a flat?? That’s the place and time he thought is best to have Eddie kill him to commit suicide?? Or more likely he was going to be the fall guy, and the payments are proof, along with guns in his truck, that he was extorting Alex exactly like he said. Also a back up plan to say he was extorting him for years so he had to commit the fraud (although that’s just a thought).

That’s the only explanation for using family registered guns and payments to Eddie so high, and calling to commit suicide on the side of the road.

Eddie was going to be the fall guy, now dead, poor Alex, he survived, lost his wife and son, civil case goes away and his financial crimes aren’t found out. It’s possible he blames Eddie for that too, his long time nightmare is over, he comes clean immediately and blames Eddie and his partners work with him to make it all right

Every issue in his life is solved, civil case, divorce, partners have pity, they help him make it right and Eddie is dead, dead men tell no tales…

I am convinced this is the situation. It all fell apart immediately after the road side incident didn’t work. THAT is the moment it all unraveled. Imagine if he succeeded in that moment with Eddie?????

This may be a completely different story we learned of Alex Murdaugh

Meh to me that’s the kinda comment that hits the bullshite filter as very unlikely someone would know that.

Bullet casings found near Maggie’s body matched older casings found elsewhere on the Murdaugh’s hunting property and likely came from Paul’s missing .300 Blackout semiautomatic rifle, Waters said.

Isn’t that essentially the state’s theory with the addition of AM trying to pin it on Eddie?

Barrett was a commerical fisherman who may not have been fishing as much as using his boat to smuggle drugs into South Carolina.

He was also hit with drug charges that were dropped after a government informant (Franklin Branch a boat driver) died when he stepped out in front of a moving vehicle. People are fearful of speaking up air these guys for a reason.

Yeah, the 'fisherman' smuggler that co-owned all the islands with AM was busted with tons of dope; and the only witness was hit and killed by a car.

What is the story on Buster's alleged gay lover friend? He ran out of gas and was walking and was hit by a car?

Like Mrs. Satterfield the housekeeper, his injuries were more extensive than the accident.

What’s more extensive than getting run over in the middle of the highway?

Mrs. Satterfield was said to have tripped by the Murdaugh's dogs and hit her head on the stairwell. She had multiple other injuries, that didn't really add up to such a fall and she died.

IIRC: Busters gay lover kid was said to have a gunshot wound to his head that was covered up.

The witness to Ellick's drug smuggler buddy also just happened to get hit by a car. Was he shot?

I think you get the point you were just bantering to laugh.at how children of the corn these people are.

From what was reported, the Jury didn’t go inside the home. At the kennels inside the feed room, the back glass with the pellet/shot holes is still there and the door that had pellet indents. Mostly everything has been cleaned up and the grass/weeds were high around the area.

Jury also went to view across the road from Moselle property. This is where the duck pond is located and is very interesting. At least one of the jurors seems to be thinking someone may have been lying in wait across the road on the night of murders.

The gunshot wound rumor was because that was the coroner’s initial impression on scene, which was likely in darkness and a head that is covered in blood.

These autopsies were performed by physicians at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. The idea that some random lawyer family 70 miles away in BFE county is so powerful as to control their office is ludicrous.

Indicted in 1983. And no link of the witness’ death being linked to him.
No other drug arrests I’ve seen.
If so, he was either the best drug smuggler or the worst.

Saw the photos from the jury trip to Moselle. The jury was only allowed to view the kennels and the outside perimeter of the house.

Someone from the defense or Murdaugh family planted a few items to catch the jury's eye:

- a stuffed chicken dog toy in the kennels

- a lady's bicycle upright parked in front of the house (keep in mind its been over year and half since murders)

- a clean flowerpot on porch with "buster" painted on it (free of pollen covering rest of porch)

- a seafoam colored shirt hanging up in a window of the house, viewable from outside.

How fking pathetic is this?

Video of arrival of the Jury on Moselle Visit day With continued reporter footage when the media was allowed in afterwards.

Where are the golf carts? You would think they would convey with the property.

Miss Mushelle caretaker of Miss Libby Testimony

She testified that days after the murders AM said he had been there 30 to 40 minutes:then eventually mentioned her wedding and how he would pay for it, and get her a higher position at her other job-at the school she worked at.

Miss Mushelle testified it was a blue tarp.

Alex Murdaugh had gunshot residue on his hands, shorts, t-shirt and seatbelt but NOT his sneakers - after his mother's caregiver claimed he'd been wearing different shoes earlier on night of double murders-Mystery-blue-raincoat-covered-in-gun-residue

Do you think the GS residued blue raincoat found crumbled in the closet was what Miss Mushelle saw AM carrying later at his parents house?

At least some of the grounds had been maintained since the murders or the grass and weeds would have been dense. That reddish brown grass (Andropogan spp.) is a late fall grass and needed to be cut so livestock don't eat it (too much silica in the dead grass.) The pine needles keep the woods relatively clear, they make an acidic layer that most weed seeds can't grow well

Smallest hanger I think I've ever seen: single engine planes? only?
