Because they posted shite like "he appears to be a state trooper in Monroe. Let his boss know he's a white racist blah blah". Then I found a long Time friend is a distant cousin of the guy. I had a funny exchange with him recently on Facebook. I apologized and he got a kick out of it. He never got a call in to the office about it or anything.

You should go back to her FB and ask her if she has reconsidered the proper stretching that you offered. Years without may have lowered her high horse a little.
