Great post, but FTR, Bezos was already a multi-billionaire in 1999.

$14.5k just for the hospital fees for a normal, non epidural delivery, only in hospital for 36 hours, as of one month ago. That doesnt include doc fees and others

My dad told me once that it only cost him a quarter to go see movie (when he was a kid). He and his brother would collect bottles and return them for a penny a piece so they could go to the movies.

I returned bottles to the Pak-A-Sak by the Perkins Road overpass to get a Delaware Punch or a Mighty Malt. early 60's before the interstate was built.A ramp went thru our house. After we moved...
