Sometimes just for me. Still expensive compared to drinking on the couch

I have some newly single friends, and it’s pretty crazy the amount of people on these dating apps who want to just sit on the couch and Netflix as a date.
Yeah, that's not it. If a guy thinks a girl on an app is dating worthy, he's getting drinks with her, not inviting her over to frick.

Steer clear of the tawdry, unscrupulous shrews out there my dear fellow.

These cretins possess neither the guile or gusto to make it in our world. Are you going to make it to Mortimer's watch party tonight?

Make it more appealing to go outside, and people will go outside

I've gotten to where I don't really enjoy going out to bars and restaurants as much anymore. The price of drinks has skyrocketed, the chains have all but taken over, they're more and more crowded, and I can usually prepare a better steak at home.

I’m not a millineal but going out for a nice night is getting way too expensive. My SO loves to cook and can do it for a lot cheaper so we only get out on special occasions.
We actually went to Outback the other night. A couple drinks, app, and meal each was approaching $100 and the food was shite. We only go to nicer places typically, but end up dropping $300. Go somewhere afterwards and have a few drinks and your looking at a $400 night.
Prefer to cook at home, have friends over, etc. like someone else said. Make it more attractive to get out and I’ll go, but spending $100s in an average time at the drop of a hat ain’t happening.

This is a disturbing trend that I think will have long-term negative effects.
Have friends over, party at the house, don't overspend at bars, grab an Uber home coming from a safe, familiar environment.
I don't see why people not bar hopping past college is a bad thing.

quote:Don’t worry there will be a new article soon bitching about all these hipster millennials popping up all these craft breweries. The people that just want to generalize and complain about every generation will always find something to bitch about. We’re all going to die in 40ish more years whether you examine society’s trends or not. I wish everyone would live their lives and just shut the frick up about this stuff.
I've been hoping that the recent boom with craft breweries leads to a neighborhood pub type thing like a lot of western Europe has.

There's so much entertainment that streams to your home.
Plus the XBOX 360 and all the games it allows you feel like your playing.
Going out for activities is great, but we shouldn't spend more time away from home than at home.

You are wrong, child.
Too young & stupid to know shite about life but thinking you can judge an entire generation.
Pride comes before the fall.
Watch yourself, it's a grown up world, for grown ups.
No run back to your safe space little boy.

So like 22 to 37. Most sources use from around 1980 to around 94.
This board thibk millenial means 18-25, but it also thinks it's better to be a plumber than a doctor.

I'm not a millennial. I stay home most of the time, saves money and I'm not on the road with a lot of idiots. Most of the time when we eat out, we pick it up and take it home.
