yup. which is all ignorant nonsense, i agree.
i found a 2015 Newsweek article stating the percentage of minority police officers in U.S. local law enforcement agencies is at 27%. But it's liberal arse Newsweek and from 2015, so that should be taken with a grain of salt.
so, if the real #'s are remotely close, BRPD is actually ahead of the curve.

I was in town this past weekend and stopped by Tony's. It never ceases to amaze me how north BR is fully and utterly steeped in blight with absolutely no hope of improvement. Who is gonna step up and spearhead a revival instead of simply bitching incessantly about systemic problems?
One of our local rabble rousers called Tony's a slave plantation because a white guy owns it and it employs a lot of black people. I bet if Tony's decided to relocate to SBR, then the owner would be accused of being a racist for taking away NBR jobs from black people.

You serious, Klark? (I'm hoping your post is highly sarcastic, but just in case it isn't.....
Part of my work puts me up in NBR on a regular basis. There are parks all over the damn place. Just as many or more than south BR. The key word in that sentence is SAFE. No, they aren't safe! Because there is so mu damn crime going on. There is a portion of the human population that is digressing in intelligence so much that they don't even understand the concept of murdering someone.
frick the damn wall at the border. We need walls within our cities to keep this trash away from reasonable people.
That is bullshite!
Maybe stop the "petty crimes" and you won't have to worry about it. It's kinda like dealing with a little brother who just keeps on picking a fight. Cops have to go out and investigate a "petty crime", let's say fighting, over and over and over and finally they get to the point of knowing that the only way it will stop is if you put the idiots in jail for a while.
So, they just want to be given a high paying job without earning it?

my post was 1000% sarcasm. But if you follow any of the local SJWs, these are the facts they present when NBR crime, corruption, and deterioration are brought up. Hence, it's never their fault, it's the white man's fault for causing their despair then presenting them with these crime statistics.
quote:
So, they just want to be given a high paying job without earning it?
This one was a stretch. The other statements have absolutely been mentioned multiple times by said SJWs. But I can't remember on who's page. Either Gravy's or Delgado's this topic came up and someone in the comments section brought up that there aren't jobs for these young black men to feed their families, so the take they quick route to crime to make a living. Then several honest sincere white men gave them links or company names to where young black men could get jobs if they could pass a piss test and didn't have a felony record. ....
And no exaggeration some of the responses were, for a lack of better words: "why should we have to get minimum wage jobs. why bother?". "why can't they get good jobs out the gate?" "ain't nobody got time for a $12 an hour job. That don't put food on the table..." and along those lines. absolutely mind blowing people believe this.

I wonder what would happen if you overlaid some demographic indicators on that map...

Only 111 murders? Is this for real? And zero aggravated assaults?

The L.A. murder rate during the summer was at a historical low of 59. Over the last 20 years it averaged 115 during the summer. Gets hot and nasty down in the hood. People get cranky and start shootin eachother. Just a few miles south of USC is where all the action starts happening

EBR census shows the population is 54.5% Black, but the EBR Police Department is only ~30%.
I"m pretty sure if you add Livingston and Ascension, meaning the metro area of BR, then metro BR is more than 40 something percent white.
Baton Rouge is more than just the city limits of Baton Rouge. No point in pretending Denham, Prairieville, etc aren't part of Baton Rouge.
All of that doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of the crime is committed in areas that are vastly black in population.
