I just wanted him to know independent offices can write it as well since the issue is the agent not the carrier.

Hire a privately owned local agency. I had a few times where I assumed escrow was paying flood but it was not, and both times they called me to renew.

Sounds like you are the issue.

Right. Cancel these two OK? Sure thing! I’ll cancel all 4!

Yup. I’m the issue alright. I should’ve shoved the old man out his chair and got on his computer myself. How dumb of me!

Turns out that my agent improperly applied the payment so I had no insurance.

Wow. Sorry about that.

I’m no fancy pants type of fella, but I facilitate a lot of work for some very high capacity individuals. It’s incredibly difficult to turn that off and deal with local yocal types. They just aren’t serious people.

It would be dumb to rely on a call or verbal request only. Email or text so there is a paper trail of your coverage changes so you can prove what you wanted. They don’t record and store all those calls for the 19,000 agency offices around the county.

I've always had good service from State Farm and Hageryty, but I do everything online.

Paper is a PITA if you multiple cars.

I wish Sirius/ XM was as organized.

You don’t have your premiums set up on auto draft do you? I think this is your fault and you’re trying to blame someone else. At the end of the day, when something goes wrong, there’s nobody responsible but yourself. Ultimately, it’s your fault so take an objective look at it, take some accountability, and you’ll realize that.

And you sound like a jerk. Filing complaints with government agencies against people is for poor people and idiots.

You are the issue. Insurance doesn't lapse unless there's a non payment, basically. An insurance company wants payments, they dont just lapse on purpose in everyday coverage

You're a screwup and no doubt are to blame if you have several of the same issues iver and over.

Put it on bank draft, moron

The agent told me today that their policy is to get me to sign off on the vehicles I’m canceling. The old fart didn’t do that. Another error. I told the guy to cancel 2 of them and he did some shite on the computer and said done. Idiot cancelled all 4.
