$40 sound right.

That is the going wage for an A-Class Pipe Fitter on a shutdown.

Does it increase, or potentially more is it properly documenting vs all the trafficking will still don’t know about?

If you legalized it nation wide, I think actually trafficking would take a hit. Maybe would mean more trafficking internationally? But then if the entire country is properly enforcing a standard, it would hopefully nip that in the bud.

But I also took 2 grams of shrooms (first time) over the weekend and starting to think we should start getting everything legalized so we can properly regulate things (and of course tax to pay for better regulation/standards). So my opinion should definitely be taken with a grain of salt now.

Convert an old K-Mart into a safe, comfortable and relatively clean secure brothel where the girls are tested and the state can tax things and be done with it.

I've never had a satisfactory explanation from anyone on why that isn't the way to handle the whole situation.

Benefits:
-Takes the street gang pimps out of the equation
-Allows the girls to be tested for diseases
-Allows for underage prostitutes to be ID'd and helped
-Eliminates related crime (robbery, rape, etc)
-Takes it out of the public eye
-Allows the government to tax the transaction

This is one of the few things along with obesity that the Europeans do a much better job of dealing with than we do.

My opinion is the same as drug legalization: Make it legal, but restrict it in public. There are lots of legal things you can't do on a street corner.

You want to shoot heroin? Do it in private, and it's fine. Do it in public and you are going to jail. You want to turn tricks? Do it in private or you are going to jail.

In Louisiana, and other states, you have to have a state license to do floral arrangements. While I disagree with that level of state interference, requiring certain business transactions to be done in private, during certain hours or in certain parts of town is standard city zoning procedure.

A libertarian would say legalize prostitution, but protect the rights of people from having that trade in front of their houses/businesses.

I agree with California on this one. Free will is a beautiful thing. Nobody should be jailed for victimless crimes.

prostitutes will perform sex acts for as little as $40 and many are selling their bodies for $160 or less at a time.

is that a good price? i'm under the impression that high price LV hookers are $2k a night or something, but i'd figure $20 for a bj from a random street hooker.

Well, this is the result of asking for "freedom between two consenting adults" as they like to put it. I am not 100% opposed to that line of thinking but you have to be real about what the outcomes will be such as bare asses walking around soliciting.

Legalize prostitution
Have a public dress code that’s enforced
Legal prostitution in brothels only. No street walking

Everywhere prostitution has been legalized human trafficking increases. Libertarians suck. They stand for nothing and permit everything which is partially why we're in the situation we're in.

You really think with our shitty immigration system that human trafficking won't ramp up bigger than it already has?

You're a naive utopian fool if you don't think that it won't be ugly and messy.

There were prostitutes in my Nashville hotel lobby as well as the constant stank of dank weed. Curious how much I have to spend per night to avoid the Culture because $260 was not enough.

I think the fact that legalizing weed has done nothing to stop the illegal trade of it is a good indicator.

All the "tax and make it legal" people fail to realize the black market will still exist because taxing and making something legal also makes it a lot more expensive sending people to still seek out a cheaper alternative.

They stand for freedom. Name one time and place Libertarians have had any control to put us "in the situation we're in."

As others have said if workers have to be registered/licensed what exactly is the incentive to traffic people who can't then be registered and work? Nice scare tactic.

While I don't consider myself a libertarian, I do agree with a lot of their principles. It's silly to view and agree/disagree with single issues through the lense of libertarianism, because the other variables may (or may not) exist under that system.

If (big if) we were living under a libertarian system, there would be virtually zero entitlements and other public handouts. Even though many, not all, libertarians are for open borders (which I disagree with), there would be very little illegal immigration due to the lack of free services available.

You can't view one rule or law in a vacuum.
