No, he didn’t react with a reasonable response to any perceived threat with the woman. He is absolutely fricked. There will be an arrest announced today

If someone is really unconscious, wouldn’t it be easy to beat them into a coma? It would be right? They can’t fight back right? Then why didn’t that happen?

Yet this guy was treated and released. Not even kept for observation.

You guys are getting all in your Karen-feels over 5 seconds of a guy punching another guy who may or may not have been unconscious or simply playing dead hoping the other guy would stop beating on him. What about the other 25 seconds of just ground and pound you see in every UFC match

The ref steps in, and stops it after the loser gets knocked out, or no longer fights back.

f you aren’t smart enough to stop hitting someone when they are unconscious, i do not feel bad for you if you go to prison.

I get what you’re saying, but when adrenaline takes over in a situation like that it’s like emptying a pistol

One of the main reasons prisons exist is to protect society from subhuman feral animals, like this one in Auburn, who can’t control their impulse to do serious bodily harm to others.

How did Zimmerman get off then? He was the pursuer and used stand your ground You can follow someone and still enact the stand your ground defense. That is absolutely true. However, him beating on an unconscious person is absolutely a separate issue that’s a crime

You have no idea how self defense law works. In fact, there is no such thing as a “stand your ground” law in ANY state. All stand your ground is you DON’T have a duty to retreat when it comes to self defense. It is one of the elements of self defense that EVERY state has. BTW, stand your ground had NOTHING to do with the Zimmerman case.

The five elements are:

1. Innocence ( you can’t start the fight)
2. Imminence (must me happening now or just about to happen)
3. Proportionality ( it must be proportional to the threat you are facing)
4. Avoidance (this is where stand your ground comes in) only in 8 states do you have a duty to retreat when faced with a deadly force threat. The media and politicians have perverted it by calling states where you don’t have a duty to retreat “stand your ground”
5. Reasonableness (are your actions reasonable)

I really hope you are trolling.

If not you are actually an idiot, and most likely a POS if you think behavior like that is acceptable.

Laugh it up. Bring on the downvotes. When minimal or no charges are filed or this guy gets off, you can reassess what the laws actually are in the US.

I’ve seen far worse circumstance of fights, where the injuries were far more severe, and people got off with nothing. Look at Ray Rice dragging his actual unconscious wife out of an elevator. Look at the injuries suffered by the guy Alvin Kamara got into with.

This was just a fist fight you see everyday on a playground. Rarely ever prosecuted unless the guy that lost has debilitating injuries

Kamara and three other men were initially facing misdemeanor charges of conspiracy to commit battery and a felony charge of battery with substantial bodily harm. Kamara is no longer facing felony charges after accepting the plea deal, his attorney David Chesnoff confirmed Tuesday.

Kamara will do 30 hours of community service and pay the alleged victim in the fight $105,000 for medical bills.
