We need to go back to an eye for an eye. It may not stop things but it's a start. The more time passes by the more I think some people are just not worthy of being rehabilitated.

It’s the conditions causing this! They need full AC and the ability to have good food door dashed to the jail. Treat them like humans!

Yeah, of course nobody wants a job guarding criminals for minimum wage or slightly more than minimum wage. That's why only people who become prison guards are guys who are scumbag thugs in their own right and can't get any other job. The guards in prison usually are not much more likable than the prisoners are.
