If you WFH, what is the motivation to live in metro ATL?

Serious question.

Also, $250k isn’t gonna get you a good school district in buford, Suwannee, or the other town you named in Gwinnett. And the bad schools are baaaaad.

I live 20 minutes away from Woodstock in Acworth.

Woodstock, Kennesaw and Acworth are all great places for families. Good schools, low crime rate, all on the interstate with easy access to downtown Atlanta. A lot of good restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.

You can still get houses for a decent price if you're willing to be patient, though that's quickly changing.

If you want entertainment move to Cornelia. They have Anarchy Wrestling on the weekends at Landmark Arena.

I live in Acworth, which is northern Cobb county. Woodstock is next town over from where i live. its a nice area. about 15-17 miles north of I-285 (the Perimeter). Traffic down 75S sucks arse, but the area is nice. Very affordable. Pretty decent schools as well.

Too many gottdam Georgia bullfrawgs though.

I live in Jasper, work in Ball Ground. Woodstock is a good location. Quick shot to ATL or the mountains. If you'd prefer dealing with a little less traffic getting around town, I'd go north of Sixes Road(Holly Springs/Canton).

I’d much rather Roswell, Lawrenceville or Cumming over Dawsonville, Dahlonega or Cartersville.

I live in Buford and enjoy it. I work from home and everything is close by. If you have to travel into the city or the airport, you are screwed no matter where you live.

I travel a lot up to SC so having easy access to 85 is really nice. I’m not an OT baller but the houses in the area are right in the range for what you are looking and you can buy brand new. Give it a month or so and the market will start to light up like it does every year.

Also, forgot to mention the park system in Gwinnett county is absolutely amazing and worth the taxes I pay for it.

Downtown Cartersville is alright, I certainly wouldn't move there for it, but I'd probably rather live in Cartersville than in Rome.

If we end up moving out of the city we would probably target north fulton.

It's been a while since I've looked at home prices in this area but the schools are definitely nice. Collins Hill, Mill Creek, Peachtree Ridge, Buford city schools are all good schools. Gwinnett County has a pretty good school system. A handful might not be at the top but overall pretty good school system.

Buford City Schools are some of the top in the state. They are building a monster sized high school too. Their football program is always tops in the state and several of our recent players have come from Buford. All the reasons you need to head on over.
