The new Krogers are fine, it's just that Publix tends to dominate the market for good employees and customers, so the leftovers at Kroger are....not as good.
Kroger does what it can, trying to do super nice buildouts and what not, but they're having trouble competing with a company built around customer service. Kroger has begun ripping off Publix-style commercials too.

The fully remodeled ones are super nice. They redid the one on N Decatur and DeKalb Industrial and it's so much nicer than the ghetto versions.
I'll have to check out the one on Wilmington. Dad lives on Tybee.

They have a bar in it with 10 taps, much of it local. All of it craft. They often bring buy food samples. It’s great!
