Like what? Obesity? Heart issues?
any kind of virus with a baby that new can be deadly even on a completely healthy babe.

we only planned for 24 hours too. If this is your first, plan yourself a cushion.
Good to know

I will NOT be doing this. I’m way to squeamish no way in hell I would remain conscious

I said this all the way up to the moment and then I could not stop watching. Incredible moment.

You will watch. My husband said he was not going to. And he watched because it was his fricking baby coming into the world. He said it was awesome to see that moment.

There needs to be some sort of PSA for those of us who have never had to take pain meds before. I did not realize
The experience traumatized me!

Yeah we stayed for longer than expected too
it felt like breaking out of prison when they finally discharged us, and we were only there 3 nights. It has never felt so good to get home.

You’ll end up watching. It’s pretty incredible

Agreed. Everything else falls away and you realize at this very moment what you made. You have to watch. Everything you thought you knew is about to change completely. Soak up everything.
Eta: maybe that was a poor closer.

They gave me one pain pill right after, I guess it was Percocet? They offered two but I’ve never taken anything like that so I said one would be fine. Even that one made me so loopy, I said forget about doing that again
when they were wheeling me to the overnight room I felt so loopy
it was like everyone’s voices were echoing around the room but not coming from their mouths. Lol

quote:girl yes. I got desserts EVERYTIME I got food there lol. Doesn’t matter what I eat after birth. I can’t poop for days. I learned by the third one to just chug prune juice.
So did you try that chocolate banana pudding? Heavenly. I made a UGEEEEE mistake on the first baby and combined all my pain medication with the chicken/cheese quesadillas for almost every meal.

I pooped the table all three times I was in labor and pushing.
I can’t feel anything once that epidural takes effect.

Doctor asked if I wanted to see the head and I took a peak just so I wouldn’t look like a pussy. Watched from there on out, though I was holding a leg.
