Very good to know. Plus I was kinda hoping to get one good “cheat” meal either delivered or brought in before I have to begin the operation: hunger/lose baby weight campaign. 
What did they expect you to eat if you couldn’t leave and hospital would only serve food to patients?

Word of advice for your husband: find out the food sitch and pack accordingly. The cafe at our hospital constricted their hours and only patients received room trays. I wasn’t permitted to leave and re-enter, though this was very early on.
husband met her downstairs at her car when she would arrive. ETA I didn’t read this closely enough. The hospital offered both of us a meal three times a day.

Question—what are your plans for when baby has to start daycare, unless you are staying home with baby?

Excuse me but there needs to be an entire thread devoted to the excellency of woman’s hospital (overall) and their food. It’s freeking amazing and I’m thoroughly disappointed that I won’t be there to have my third. I joke all the time that they should rename it “woman’s medical day spa” because both times the experience was absolutely impeccable.
ETA: I brought my oldest to eat dinner there a few times when we still lived in BR! Food is awesome and cheap!

They didn’t seem to give a shite but there was a lot going on at that time. We ended up staying a third night because momma got pretty tore up during birth so I really only had to fend for myself for a day. She shared and we had packed some snacks. I’m sure things are a little less uncertain now but they wouldn’t even allow food to be dropped at the door for me on that last day. It was nuts.

Luckily this pregnancy all has been well and he at least got to experience that. It was hard to see his expression due to the mask but I could make out his big grin due to his eyes squinting and watering up.
I got lucky in that she had her first ultrasound a couple of weeks before everything shutdown so I was lucky enough to at least experience that one.

YES!!! Everything is amazing there. They are angels to me. I used to go there and eat when pregnant since I work about 4 min from the hospital and would plan my appt with my dr around lunch so I could get food there.
legit some of the best food I have had. I can’t say enough good things about that place. And I still keep in touch with the nurses who took care of our Lukie.

We were told that I wouldn’t be allowed to leave and re-enter but I could order waitr and meet them at the door or eat the hospital food provided so at least we won’t have to worry about that. Hopefully we’ll only be in the hospital for 24 hours

Jealous. I‘m not in BR, so I was not privy to that food this time, but I have had the food there visiting in-laws, and I can confirm that the food is great

Yeah I would think most places would at least permit delivery now. We were in a satellite women’s hospital so their dietary is/was pretty limited. That cafe was damn satisfying when it was open though.
ETA: we only planned for 24 hours too. If this is your first, plan yourself a cushion. We had combination evening delivery and a shite ton of stitches. I still can’t bring myself to look and I watched the baby come out.

I’m telling ya their hamburgers are the best and the sweet potato fries. Damn I miss that food. I need covid to end so I can go get some.

We aren’t doing daycare, but I have friends who are, and they are starting up after Labor Day with super tight restrictions and limited capacity. I read the drop off instructions, and they are pretty intense. Daily questionnaire about symptoms and temperature gun at every drop off. Drop off the child at the car as opposed to walking them in and getting them settled. I told her that if anything that’ll ensure there will be less bugs getting brought back home whether it be covid or any other colds or flu. Silver lining?

We are in the panhandle of Florida, Okaloosa County, and I was the only one permitted to come and go, but I could go home at night to stay with the kids, and go back when the in-laws got there. Plus I'd could come and go with food or whatever. We had the option to have stuff delivered but it was easy enough for me to drive the few places close to the hospital.

And my mother in law was in the hospital for fluid in her lungs like 2 months before Covid. We have barely left our house these last six months

So did you try that chocolate banana pudding? Heavenly. I made a UGEEEEE mistake on the first baby and combined all my pain medication with the chicken/cheese quesadillas for almost every meal.
HUGE mistake. One that I did not repeat for second. I ordered a grilled chicken breast with green beans every meal and chugged water. I’ll let you figure out why.
But to this day I still dream about the goodness that was my firstborn’s Woman’s experience. I bet that chicken/cheese quesadilla was over an inch thick and was mostly delicious melty cheese.
