We do not really live in a serious country.
It's like the Truman Show, and we're all Truman Burbank. Some of us despite the obvious signs refuse to believe and accept it and just want to continue being Truman Burbank because it's comfortable and familiar.

Really???
SLPC #1: Fundraising and corporate extortion has fallen off the last few years. We need to show people that we're still relevant so the funds keep flowing in.
SLPC #2: How we gonna do that?
SLPC #1: What if we approach some of those KKK cosplayers and pay them to do some highly visible, racist shite? The news media will carry our water and make it look like 1962 Mississippi. Every liberal white woman will fall for it and start washing feet. Then our corporate outreach office can start leaning on businesses for donations by threatening them that if they don't give to us they are practically tying the noose themselves.
SLPC #2: Sounds good. Make it happen.
That's not an op?

For shits and giggles, go and see how the "USA TODAY" justifies this story.
They openly admit in their justification that the FBI has been doing this for years. So, for those with brains keeping up.....
In order to deflect from one "conspiracy theory" to help their violent, progressive allies, they admit to another "conspiracy theory".
Just amazing to watch this timeline unfold.

but honestly that's irrelevant to the reputational damage done to them.
I don't think normal people who hear the actual facts will care that much. It's hard to paint racists as the victims. That's why we keep seeing the spin that this proves the racists were plants/fake.

Why did you use "cosplayers" here?
And how many people do you think organized UTR? 100? 200? You think 1 person being a snitch makes the entire thing an op?

You're trying too hard to use the term "conspiracy theory" here

All made up Democrat and MSM outrage. Yet daily we have murders and other violent crimes committed by blacks that don't sniff their news. We have teen takeovers and orange crush events where people are shot and killed and violence occurs but this the shite they talk about. We have a culture problem and a MSM lying problem not a white supremacists problem.

Who would have that an organization founded by a scumbag like Morris Dees would do something like this?

The Indictment does not show that SPLC directed and supervised their fomenting of the group.
Jesus Christ how do you function in life?
SPLC literally funded the groups who gave these malcontent retards "gift cards" - one of which was paid over $1M between 2013-2020 to literally foment problems.
So yes, it does show that. Did this guy just magically find a gift card on the street? Use your head dude.

SPLC isn't "government"
The DOJ refered to the SPLC as a most credible source internally and externally for many years. They used SPLC assertions as very credible without any oversight.
A cat's paw can belong to you even if it is not officially part of your bureaucracy.

This is the spin we’ve been waiting to see

Does it really matter if the individuals were organic or embedded by the SPLC? It doesn't change the fact they were organizing and controlling the events.
Instead, the Indictment indicates that the SPLC paid one field source for each white supremacy group it investigated.

That sounds as if they paid the leadership of this group to set up, plan, and transport people to the event.
What am I missing?
To the contrary, the SPLC paid only one person. That one person was only a member of the online leadership chat group. That one person attended the event, made racist postings, and helped coordinate transportation for some attendees.

There is this spin that these behaviors by the racists were not organic, and were influenced by the SPLC so they can push the false narratives like OP.
But-for the SPLC funding/snitch, would Unite the Right have occurred? Yes, in the exact same manner. That snitch was a very small cog in that event.

There are no allegations in the Indictment that indicate the informants were paid to foment problems.
If the informants had been paid to foment problems, the Indictment would indicate that.
