Or just go downtown during the day. Cheaper to uber then walk home when the sun is down then pay for the fricking parking.

I agree with SuperSaint. Living in the sticks is fine if you want to raise your kids. If you are of any age and want experiences that make you an interesting person, take your arse to an urban area and get in where you fit in.

I'd even argue raising kids in the city. It would increase their cultural awareness, thus decreasing the potential for them to grow up sheltered.

The millennials aren't going to have to worry about where they live or where they are ubering to in the next decade. They'll be on their knees doing unmentionable things to strangers alleyways. And those are going to be the lucky ones.

Yes, this cutting edge technology called transportation has allowed people to live in one place and do other activities in another!

Yea, anything off Coursey and Sherwood is comparable to areas like SoHo in NY and Lincoln Park in Chicago.

In a place like Seattle where it costs $3000+ for a nice 1 Bedroom in the heart of the desirable areas, then yes it can make sense to move a little farther out (e.g., Ballard) and just commute when needed. The difference could be $1500 a month.
