There's a lot more than 3 douches that came up with this idea.

I am also sure the French will love being told they can only eat 1oz of cheese per week.

And I have to be missing why they specified econo class travel for the one annual flight allowed. Does business or first class use more fuel?

Don't we love our communism?

"For the good of society" always destroys that society. It has never failed.

In theory, yes. If everyone was crammed in like coach, the fuel per person would be lower.

That said, since the first/business class people aren't giving up their spots... in reality the answer is no.

OK... WTF do video games have to do with this? There's no way they use all that much energy.

Fun fact:

CA tried this with residential lawn watering and ice cubes for restaurants. Great in theory, right?

EXCEPT! Ag and Industrial water usage accounts for 90% of water usage in CA. and they were exempt from those rules.

Im not arguing as you kinda need the ag and industrial. But if the 90% dont have to change their behavior then you will never make a dent in the problem.

In this case, im looking at you, China, India, and the 10 biggest shipping vessels in the world which spew out more pollutants than all the cars in the world in a given year.

That's about 3100 miles per year. Even 80 yr olds put that on a vehicle in the US

Climate change isn't about changing climate, its about changing society and the wealthy paying for the poor.

Its a ruse to temper markets. Nothing more.

The Spleen, tarzana, mmmmmbeer, and Zappas Stache all prayed to their posters of Che Guevara and Karl Marx that this would come true.

Emissions have been declining in the US for some time now. I also think the government lies to us about man's involvement and fudges the numbers to make the data look worse than it is.

You left out the part where it was specified to drive an electric car no more than 5000km a year.

I'm all for being environmentally conscious, but driving that little just isn't realistic for a lot of people.

You and I could go carbon negative and it won't make a dent.

As usual, China is asshoe.
