What's the deal? And how much has it went up in your area
I used to live in Findlay, Ohio. Gas fluctuates more in NW Ohio than any other place in the country. In no other state do gas prices overreact to the day's news than they do in NW Ohio. I remember gas jumping $0.30 in a day in some instances when oil prices would rise. On 9/11, which I guess was understandable to a point, some stations were charging $4 a gallon, in 2001!

Let's be clear. We do not claim him nor does he want us to claim him.

Flooding in the midwest has caused logistical nightmares for the railroads. Fuel blenders in Texas have had to scale back production

Is Ohio special? It's gone up $1 everywhere.

by summer it will be $3.75 for no reason except they control the pricing and decide to do this every summer.
gas companies are the new opec, they are organized price fixing

I've seen it jump here, in Ohio, 40-50¢ overnight before. I don't remember it being $1.75. Looking at the price history it dipped just below $2.00 in January. $2.09 in February. $2.369 in March and $2.539 this month.

Oil went up to over $60 a barrel. That’s how it works.
Oil goes up the price of has goes up. Oil goes down the price of goes down.

it's just a captive market and not something I'm likely going to alter my habits over.
We probably spend $100-150 per month on gas at these prices. I don't really care what it costs much either.

Boo fricking hoo. I haven’t seen gas prices below $2.00/gal in maybe 7 years.
