Better keep your head on a swivel. You’re gonna end up on a true crime tv series.

Sending prayers to the family

Yea this has to be fake.

This is the dumbest crap I’ve ever read on here. You blew up your family while on vacation over not even having sex?
What an idiot

your wife and kids my my sympathy. you, OP have nothing from me but contempt.
I am not perfect either, but having had someone I was engaged to for 3 years, moved across the country to be with her, and got integrated into her kids lives, even going as far to provide for all of them, and to be a better father than the one they had. it was a an absolutely crushing experience.
she turned out to be a very selfish person that had no real care of me or my feelings. and honestly that selfishness hurt her kids also.
I am a better person for it, and glad it happened before we got married - but people that cheat in any form or fashion has no sympathy from me, only contempt.
and I agree with Stout, never thought I would say that. your post is just to try and make yourself feel better. if you truly cared about your wife or kids, you would not have done what you did.

What type of job?
Christian organization? They usually have a code of conduct with a no adultery clause.

So your then-GF had previously hooked up with the classmate’s husband (pre-you) but still was after y’all had started dating?
I'm not 100% sure, honestly. The fact a married man she hooked up with is comfortable in texting her the moment his wife leaves town, 10-11 months into us dating, was enough for me. The DV was just the cherry on top. OP is woe is me about his ride back home, not even considering how the victims feel. His entire demeanor about the situation he created sounds way too familiar to me.

So the woman gets to cheat and gets to hit you. That’s some bullshite. If a woman cheats, you should legally be entitled to one free punch

Yes you are right. Just making sure I read it correctly.

WRONG.
True repentance leads to true forgiveness.

Lot of motherfrickers on here throwing rocks from glass houses. Not surprised from keyboard warriors.

Over half the dudes in this thread will cheat on an SO, the others just will not have the opportunities.
Women are the same, they just don't admit it as much.

What actually caused the “confession” to occur? Like why did this guy bring this up?
Sounds like he was feeling unhinged and wanted to create some drama for some subconscious reason and now he realizes it was a stupid thing to do and he did not even screw the girl.
This could have been shut down and moved past line any other mistake that happens in a marriage. This one should have been repented for but kept under wraps.

Lots of holier than thou posters in this thread. It's ironic considering half the posters here are divorced, most likely caused by cheating.
shite happens. People make mistakes. We're only human. Monogamy can be challenging at times.
Good luck Randy

I’m guessing the other woman’s husband found their texts, and he had to tell his wife before that guy called.

I don't know if she actually cheated on me, but I definitely took the punch the cheater deserved from his wife. She offered me a free punch for her hitting me, but there's 0 chance I'd have stopped at just 1 at that point
