if Tim Tebow wasn’t blessed with great genetics and was instead a skinny 5’8 120 lber, he’d absolutely be considered weird by you and just about everyone else on this board

It seems like when I was growing up, homeschool kids were either weird as frick or the wildest kids the second they were away from their parents.

Today, for some folks it could really be the better option. If they live in an area with a shite public school system and can't afford private school, I just think the main issue is the social aspect.

If parents have their children involved in activities with other kids their age and they are able to get out and experience things then I don't think that is a bad thing.

But on the other hand, you have dumbass parents who decide to homeschool their kids for who knows what reason and then the kids become adults and they are morons because they were "taught" by morons.

I can’t speak for all homeschool kids. My brother and wife homeschooled their 5. They are now a CPA, physical therapist, work in business with a masters, an assistant strength coach at a major university, and a computer science professor. All are great guys.

Most people fail to understand that learning how to socialize is as important to a child's development as learning to read. The kids that are home-schooled don't know how to deal with other people. They are emotionally stunted. This is not speculation either. It's a fact.

Fact huh. it’s almost like you assume that homeschools are literally locked in a room all day with only their parent. Apparently it’s inconceivable that homeschoolers actually group together to do school activities together in many cases in addition to being involved in extracurricular things like sports, dancing, etc like every other kid.

There are tons resources available and groups to join if a person wanted to consider homeschooling your child. Many families have realized it’s better to have your spouse become your child’s teacher as opposed to getting a traditional job.

Yeah it’s kind of a shame that people would consider him who by all accounts appears to be an absolute awesome human being.

It’s True. My 4 homeschoolers are locked in a basement where we make them watch videos about dinosaurs not being real. We feed them through a slot to keep socialization to a minimum.

Fun fact about Tebow. Apparently when his mom was pregnant with him, the doctor’s found some “concerning” things in the ultrasound and actually recommended to the mom he be aborted bc there was a “good” chance he would significant issues. His mom said no obviously, obviously the doctor was extremely wrong, and well the rest is history.

Ahhh...have you seen kids today? They don't talk to one another face to face. They text or talk on some form of social media. They have are the least socialized group this country has ever produced.

This, my nephew was homeschooled and dated a girl that was in public school. Either one of them were social butterflies, glued to phone every time I saw them at family events.
On a side note, does anyone know of parents that have hired a private tutor to handle the homeschooling process?

Have a family of home schoolers next door right now. 4 kids ranging in age from 9(2girls ) to 17 … 16. (Boys)
They have 3 trucks.. 1 suv… boat … trailer

I’m having to tell the boys not to park in front of my house daily… neighbor across the street has trouble getting out of her driveway.
They act weird… all of em !
