How much money do you think he has?
How many people do you think are on this website?

They actually are planning to send all of them to real school by 10th grade now because they admit the oldest are socially weird as shite. The oldest is in 8th grade and she hides under furniture purring like a cat when we go over to their house.
Shocked the parents admit it.

In my experience all home-school haters are super weird.

My experience is a mixed bag. Yes, most of them were a naturally socially awkward, but I knew several pretty normal home schooled kids. Knew some weird ones too. A lot of them that I knew were just good ol country people though. I grew up in rural Montgomery County.

But sheltering them from mean people (run of the mill bullying, not extreme) the right way to go about it?
There are mean people everywhere. Youre protecting them from sexual deviants, bullies, shitty ideas, and a myriad of other things they bring home from public school.
Inner city schools are simply crime incubators.

Home Schooling is almost always a better choice.
I think you guys just don't realize there are lots of areas in our country with pretty solid public schools.

Home schooled kids here have sports leagues, dances, and other various social clubs they attend.
We know several and there kids are pretty normal.

Have you been to public school lately? 75% of all kids are weird nowadays. It's like revenge of the Nerds and they are winning.

My kids have done public, private, and homeschool.
When they go with friends from church or sports to public HS games they see dudes wearing Daisy Dukes, guys sending dick pics, and girls flaunting theirselves and want nothing to do with it.
I’ll take the weird kids.

I have nothing against home-schooling. The issue is that people who choose that are ALREADY weird. Their kids would likely be weird if they went to school. The homeschool part is irrelevant.

They are in the same activity groups (if they choose) as the public school kids.
The socialization aspect is so outrageously misrepresented by public school proponents.

I’m thankful there’s a nice charter school a mile from my crib that is top notch.
It used to be a jewish day school for decades but dropping attendance led to them closing and reopening as a charter school after dropping their jewish religion curriculum.
It’s like a private school except it’s already paid for. The only people who send their kids there are those who specifically sought out this school so it’s very different from your traditional public school or even most of the other charter schools.

I did a stint with Junior achievement
So I was in the public school class room. The rule for JA was to allow what the teacher allows ( if not in the room)
Kids would get up and go look at themselves in the mirror. Pull their desks into the corner and start chatting... If they missed a school day then they weren't responsible for the lesson that day
My kids are in public school and they are good schools but I wouldnt worry about homeschoolers if I were you

We have family friends whose 3 kids were homeschooled for various periods of time, and they each turned out totally different.
Oldest daughter started in public school, then homeschooled through middle school, and then went back to high school because she wanted to be with her friends. She went to college, is now probably 50 lbs overweight, and is a huge leftist.
The son started in public school, then homeschooled through high school, and went to community college. He's quiet, but respectful, is involved in his church, has a cute girlfriend, and works for his dad's construction company.
The youngest daughter was homeschooled her entire life and never set foot in a college classroom. She is 5'10", looks like a model, has a bubbly personality, designs cakes for a bakery, and makes fun of her big sister for being a "libtard".
