Shreveport actually has some decent to good Public school options. Which is surprising for the town.

Don't think that's correct. McGhee is the most expensive all girls school.

Your name is "nola tiger lsu" but from the looks of it, it's pretty obvious you know nothing about nola or lsu.

You think we like it? 90% of the posters on this board who still live around here are only here because of family. Nobody WANTS to not be able to send their kids to public schools. There's literally no alternative.

Kenner Discovery, of course. It’s semi private and free. Added bonus being in Kenner.

Trinity is the best grammar school in New Orleans. Students are regularly in top quartile, if not higher, when they enter high school

If you need a more affordable option, St Catherine in Old Metairie is probably the best Catholic grammar school in the state. Lots of money, great leadership, and tons is parent support.

I don’t know how you can conclude such a thing, unless it’s just something you want to tell yourself to sleep at night. I’m not suggesting it’s a bad school, mind you, but the differences in these places compared to any other number are really not going to be anything more than really marginal.

maybe things have changed but when i was in high school, sps was big on having future prisoners play sports for them.

You get to know people who are admissions directors, principals, school board members and private high schools and they all talk. SCS kids get into any school they want based on testing.
The testing scores get discussed.

Among the metairie and Nola circles it’s just considered a fact that ScS is a kick arse school with great facilities.
The men’s club and women’s club annually raises $350k to $400k to support the school.
My kids don’t go there any longer, but while there Bobby Jindle, David Vitter, and Steve Scalise had kids there.

Of course there are several private schools in Nola that are better, but for an affordable Catholic school, SCS is very much top notch.
