Yes i read a lot of roads in the park are closed due to snow during months you wouldn’t expect snow

Cruising through town on a snowmobile sounds fun!

Maybe i could open a gumbo shop and red beans and rice

He asked for year-round . What's January like?

Buddy of mine lives in San Diego, it's like 72 degrees on the 4th of July, and on Christmas. It's a shame Cali is run by lunatics, it's one of the most pleasant places on the planet.

I realize I might be in the minority but 72 degrees on Christmas sounds depressing to me.

We've been to Santa Fe often. The culture isn't for us. Couldn't get used to all the hairy armpits and patchouli smell.

Sure you have, been here almost 3 years and yet to see hairy armpits nor smell patchouli. Other than a ~ 3 week period in June/July where temps can get in the 90's the weather is pretty incredible. Dry 92 at 7200 altitude is way better than LA 92, plus it drops quickly after sunset.

Of the places I’ve actually been, have to put votes in for Hawaii and San Diego, just crazy tempered, slept with windows open and no temp controls in play. Felt really weird being from the Deep South, but can see why people loved it there

I can get that, but those holidays are usually T shirt weather in South Louisiana anyway, it usually gets cold around Mardi Gras. The relief from 100 degree summers is the tradeoff.

That is correct. I have family (not quite that far north) and we will stay with them for a few weeks here and there this time of year. 65 at night, windows open, it works great.

Yesterday I tried to assemble a table (8 screws) in my garage and wound up sweating through my shirt after 20 minutes. Did some yard work in the dark after the storm.

Probably Asheville, NC. No extreme heat during the summer; ample rain in all seasons, with moderate (not excessive) snowfall in winter: winter temps milder than the Colorado Rockies, with far less risk of wildfires than Colorado or anywhere in the West.

on the coast from Santa Barbara

The inland area of Santa Barbara County, the Santa Ynez Valley, is beautiful. Buellton and Solvang tend to be a little hotter daytime than the coast, but it's not terrible except in the event of offshore winds during the summer/early fall.

It tends to be more politically conservative than the coast.

Strictly based on weather I'd say Los Angeles.

 or maybe Hawaii

Most of Hawaii outside of the tourist spots and hotels is like living in a southeast Asian slum. Inland Hawaii is als hot and swampy as hell.

As someone who has actually lived there, it is a fricking terrible place outside the resort areas.
