The older I get, the more I don't get upset about stuff like National Coming Out Day. If it helps a kid who's having a shitty time being in the closet come out and live their life, more power for it.

I’m sure it’s still hard to come out to family, but society as a whole doesn’t care at all. Probably the opposite at this point. Hard to think that a National coming out day could possibly help a gay kid come out to his parents.
