Any recs on a in home babysitter/maid/cook? We are possibly looking into someone to come 3-5 days a week.
Anyone have experience with this, average pay per hour? Do you have someone who cooks awesome food who would be interested?
It would be for a 6 month old, and possibly our friends 4 month old.
TIA

You need a cook? Good luck with that.

I just want someone who can make a good etouffee or pot of red beans.
Not an executive chef.
And honestly, we would probably settle for someone to just watch the baby.

Well I certainly didn't pop this child out on my own
She works though. Not an option for her to stay home and quit her job.

That's why he needs a "baby sitter"

Heard a thing on the radio the other morning about the cost of babysitting. One paid $10 an hour for his 2 and 4 year old, while the kids were sleeping. So I'd think you'd need to pay at least $18-20 per hour if you have two kids under 6 months for them to watch (plus the cooking/cleaning).

My wife is good at all that, I can send her to you. Oh, but don't forget to "listen" to her when she talks. Tell her you "care" about her. Put the toilet lid down, and don't "drink" so much. Get all that right you'd be good to go.

Your expectations should be for Mexican food, not étouffée.

I have absolutely no problem with that. Will she make margaritas too?

My wife does all that but she's expensive

Pics of wife so I can evaluate your situation properly.

My wife's worked 8+ hrs/day since our son was a few months old, never considered a cook though.

Live in au pair for the win.
Black mamas like we had in our childhood don't exist anymore.

Look an Eastern European. Or an illegal Mexican.
I assume cost isn't necessarily an issue since daycare would probably be cheaper than a full-time nanny.
