Get back to me when AI can fix the ice cream machine

Elon Musk told Joe Rogan that in 5 to 10 years humans will routinely be getting neuro links implanted that, one benefit, will able humans to communicate without talking. But the initial application of neuro links will be to repair a variety of brain damages, loss of vision, strokes, dementia, etc etc etc. I stopped at a McD's for a pit stop in Vegas several mths ago & there was only 2 humans in the store, both only supervisors. Everything else was forms of A.I's He also said that in regards to A.I.'s "we are just along for the ride now".

I don’t even know why you’d need a chat bot at this point. I can place a mobile order to just about any restaurant I want without ever speaking to anyone. Hell, chick fil a now has a designated mobile order lane to expedite you through. If you’re pulling up to the intercom to place an order these days you are wayyy behind where the rest of us are.

Been ordering via apps for the last couple of years and I don't miss it.

This is being done because of its cheaper than paying some lazy idiot $15 per hour according to Wendy’s.

Right now eating after using mobile app to order. Very easy. Also the app had a free meal order for me since I hadn’t used in awhile.

What if the robot gets the order wrong? Who do I talk to? Inb4: quit being a fatass

In 3 years you won’t have humans taking your drive thru orders.
How AI going to be standing half a mile away taking orders for chick-fil-a?

This will just expedite universal basic income
Paying only working age Americans 1k per month would be almost half of the Federal budget. And 1k per month would just remind you how fricked you are

Paying that to every adult would be quite inflationary as well. This will just put more people on welfare and Section 8 housing and us working stiffs will foot the bill.

Great. I can't understand Shaquishala most of the time.

Meh, just means politicians will push for Universal Basic Income for votes. Instagram gonna be frickin lit!

The chat box will have a female voice
The is extremely insensitive to the bot. Do not assume the gender, people.

This is according to the chairman of Presto automation. Humans will be replaced by chat bots as Wendy’s begins testing them out. The chat box will have a female voice and will understand requested items that aren’t phrased correctly. This is being done because of labor shortages according to Wendy’s.
I don't think there is chance in hell that the current fast food model will exist in 3 years if something drastic does not happen. I think there will be massive numbers of locations out of business no matter what but this may stave it off for a short while. The only saving grace fast food ever had was it was fast and affordable. It is neither today. The quality has always been horrible, it is worse today. Given that the property and the build out is extremely expensive and the amount of business done in many locations is abysmally low I don't see the current model surviving much longer.

That’s fine. I order through apps anyway when I do go to a drive through. I rather the humans focus on the food and not miss hear my order.

I’ll be pissed if Popeyes follows suit. Dealing with the shitty attitude is part of the experience
