They should run the study with male partners for men. I would almost guarantee that homosexuality has seen a large rise over that same period of time. It has become much more accepted so guys who aren't getting with girls are probably getting with guys

Dating apps allow for hypergamy for females, and lots of plate spinning for dudes who qualify. The guys who fall through the cracks are sated by porn.

I think you might be confusing cause and effect. The online porn is chasing demand caused by poor social skills plaguing an entire generation.

I have a handful of friends who are opportunistically bisexual (ie they'll frick a dude if they can't frick a woman), but I imagine this is extremely marginal.

Dating apps make it easier for some people. It starts off online but at least ends in face to face interactions. I think the lack of personable interactions is more like it. They find other things to occupy their time with (porn included). That stuff doesn’t really help in developing good social skills

I mean if the percentage of gay men who are open and public about it has gone up 20% and some of them have had sex only with men, I think that would explain at least some % of this.

It’s not online porn but instead online interactions. Young People don’t communicate in person anymore. It’s hard to lose your virginity virtually.

If the social isolation is not causing psychological instability in these people, fine. Live and let live.
But from my own experience, a lot of young people are dealing with a sense of pathological loneliness exacerbated by poor social skills.
