I'll bite. Always been a fan of the many worlds theory, so this idea had crossed my mind from time to time, though, I didn't realize it was a thought experiment. But it's nothing more than Schodinger's cat applied to MWT.

As physical reality is based around probability, when considering MWT, you basically have to accept that causality will always ensure that every possible scenario happens, has happened, will happen, for all of time. This includes seeing the probability of the nuke killing you become ridiculously likely. Regardless, death comes for us all, and there's nothing to stop it in our world's scenario. Even if we figured out immortality, this theory would still give way to many worlds with versions of our immortal selves, as well as worlds where these immortals still perish from other means. We will eventually all reach our demise, just because of probability. Every decision we make, whether good or harmful, is constantly altering this probability. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that probability and infinity are two areas that are almost impossible to fathom when considered interrelated.
