Immigrants want it more and work harder

I got to be honest. I hire and supervise people. I have to say that immigrants when they apply for jobs tend to have better credentials and are more willing to work harder and longer. I do know that in my field immigrants to the US are from the best schools in their home countries but they do really seem to want it more and are willing to work harder and do a better job. Immigrants in my field are also more likely to attend the better schools in the USA and tend to have an advantage, but they work their butts off and are more willing to keep their mouth shut and work hard.

I recently advertised an entry-level position. No Americans applied but I have immigrants with good credentials who did and who wrote great cover letters and sent good emails. Also they aren't white.

Why didn't Americans apply? Because they know you pay squat because you can. Take the illegals away and you'll have to pay more to get legal workers, which is the way it should be.

LOL. There's some truth in that. But some immigrant who does a good job makes my life easier. I know some of you think it's my patriotic duty to hire someone from Hammond, but when it's my arse on the line someone from Bunkie just doesn't cut it.

I'd love to hire some good ole boy from Nicholls State, but when the applications come in it's hard to justify hiring Bubba from McNeese versus LSU and even TAMU who are immigrants.
