If they were east or south asian, working harder than you.

Part of me feels sorry for them from the sh**hole country they come from.
Most want to come and find meaningful employment and help their family out.
A lot of them that do work end up sending money back to their family that still lives in from wherever they are from. They might have elderly relatives that can't make the trip like they do.
Problem lies with our country that doesn't want to fix the massive problem immigration is having on the border and I understand that it is no easy fix and the criminal element that is also making it into the country.

Are they immigrants or illegals? The 2 are very, very different.

I worked on a commercial construction project about 9 years ago and at lunch time the Hispanic crews would gather in the parking lot and cook lunch. The "Americans" (black and white) on the job were eating bologna and sardines out of a can. And talking about the Hispanic folks like they were in the parking lot buggering children. I watched this about a week and, not being skeered nor hateful, sauntered over to the pop up tent they were eating under and asked "whats for lunch?". They could not have been more gracious...I nearly exploded from eating so much. Good eating too...basically grilled chicken, some beans and tortillas but beat the shite out of a can of possum brand mustard sardines. I ate with them most days for about 3 months. I'd bring cut up round steak the day before, one of them would take it home and do something to it and the next day we'd eat like royalty. The "Americans" on the job were certain I would be knifed or kidnapped or worse but the only danger I faced was to my waist...those guys knew how to eat. We even got together a few times after work to eat and drink beer. I am still pretty good friends with 2 of those guys. I do not know if any of them were legal or not, all I knew were they were people who worked every day and were mistrusted by most of their co-workers because they were different...and I also knew they could flat out whip up a helluva lunch in 5 minutes!
