How much does the NFL pay him a season? If it's more than a mil, I'd say anything to keep my job too.

He’s plays a stupid game for a living. What do you expect?

Imagine living in a country where those bitching about his words had done as much for the black community as Drew. They should step up and show what they have done if it is equal, or better.
If it is lesser than, STFU.

So he’s free to have his opinion and we support his right to state his opinion ... until he expresses an opinion with which we disagree?

He’s actually the only one being an adult and leading. He also has 4 kids to think about and if he went all in on the flag stance right now it would follow them forever. It’s not fair but he got some lemons so he’s making lemonade.
He will regret this for the rest of his life. One day in the not too distant future he is going to look back at this and wish he could trade all the money he made from that moment on for one more opportunity to tell them all to go frick themselves. He just allowed a bunch of bullies to bully him, and he is going to wish he could go back in time and punch them all in the mouth.

call him a pussy but remember he takes a stand and he loses his teammates(majority afro-american) and he probably loses his job. That is america these days. If you are a white Male and take any type of stand on anything be prepared to pay for it with your job no matter how good at it you are. Hell look at kapernick avg QB says what he wants gets in no trouble for saying it and is considered a hero

I feel for him, everyone is afraid to admit what they truly think, or believe. If they do, they are thrown to the wolves. The world is a mess.

I understand ppl wishing he hadn’t apologized but that’s damn easy to say on an anonymous message board.

He should have known that the grievance brigades were not going to accept his apology.

I bet you’re fun at parties. My comment was just a lighthearted response acknowledging the quote made by Mo Green in The Godfather.
As for all the opinions, apologies, and ridiculous rhetoric surrounding this whole shitshow, IDGAF.

OK, now imagine being 41 and being out of touch with everything outside of the racist bubble you live in.
Now...welcome to the OT!

You are half right. He did this for his career, but he isn’t leading. If he would have stuck to his statement, it’s possible we could have actually broadened this conversation. Black lives can matter while still having other things, like having a respect for the flag, matter to us as well.
If the world is telling me the only way I can show that black lives matter is kneeling during the national anthem, I’m siding with the flag. This whole thing is about bullying and silencing opposition, and they are using racism as a tool. It’s like the race card royal flush.
Having Drew, a man that should have enough goodwill in the black community to cover several life times, briefly stand up for his beliefs, Only to be silenced and reprogrammed overnight only strengthens and legitimized this group think machine.

I’m just glad I’m not an important person because the mob is out for blood right now. Even, pathetic little ole me with an I.T job in a shite arse Louisiana town has to just keep my mouth completely shut on FB. I used to glance through it several times a day and once or twice a month put something concerning my family or try to be funny with my stupid arse cat but I don’t do that.
Dumb arse me was gonna make a #Cats Lives Matters post since all dog lovers say cat owners suck and while created it, I realized the mob in my FB friends would say how disrespectful it was and blah blah blah so I didn’t. I was just bored. What a shitty time to be alive.

Are you talking about a man that has spent his entire professional career around black men in their early 20s? Someone who is in an extreme minority in his profession that has, up until this point, been one of the most respected people in the league?
You feel good using that word, racist? You think throwing that word around is going to make anything better? If that man lives in a racist bubble, please enlighten as as to how your situation is less racist, and what are YOU doing about it.
