Let them have their fun.

We love to think of our founding fathers are virtuous, but this country was built on savagery.

The rich have a lot more manpower than thugs covering their faces, robbing from and destroying local businesses. They would seriously regret trying to move one of these protests to the suburbs in a large metro area.

This is not honoring George Floyd. There have been peaceful protests honoring him where nobody got hurt, financially or physically. This is not it.

Considering a key catalyst for the American Revolution was taxation without representation, and that taxes were levied to pay off debt from the French and Indian War (or the Seven Years War in Europe - our first true world war), and a young, well to do British militia Lieutenant Colonel actually fomented this conflict, I would have to agree with your assessment.
