Obviously whatever you were referencing with regard to pedestals.

Not sure what that refers to pr where these parks are in the city. 90% of those "parks" are golf courses. Sabine park is very small and hermann park is being over-developed

Houston does have a lot of green space. They have been and will continue to invest in their green spaces to make them better and more accessible to all residents.

Houston is still growing, improving, investing, etc. It's only getting better while New Orleans is forever declining.

Have you been to CIty Park or Audubon lately? They are thriving. City Park is getting a new $40 million children's museum. Tons of new amenities at both parks.

I'm not shitting on New Orleans' parks. I'm saying Houston as a city is improving constantly, and that includes their parks and green spaces.

New Orleans is already established in that area and the city as a whole has been stagnant for a long time.

It's a completely abandoned overgrown eyesore.

Those numbers are meaningless without context.

I lived in Houston for two years, they really don't have anyhing even remotely close to city park

Why did they do this?

Took it down in 2015. All of the equipment and the screen. They replaced it with digital equipment and a new screen. So it's nothing but a glorified multiplex screen now.

They were likely losing money on it, or not making as much as if it were digital. A 70mm reel costs far more and is that much more difficult to turn a profit on, especially when maintenance of the equipment is considered. There are also limited options in 70mm and far more variety and quantity of options in digital.

It's really unfortunate because Christopher Nolan shoots much of his films with 70mm IMAX cameras. I saw Interstellar when it was still an IMAX theater and it was incredible.

Me too. I've lived in Houston too and it was very sour. Came back home to be part of the "rebirth" but I'm afraid that the city has peaked. Latoya becomes Mayor I'm gone.

When did you live in Houston?
And City Park is great. I'm not knocking it. Hermann Park is Houston's best park.

Next to hermann park which was nice. They tore down the pagoda right when i moved. I thought that pagoda garden area with the ghandi statue was the prettiest part
