Why don’t we just play widespread panic songs before games

Most people do not realize he was not the original artist to sing it.

Louisiana Saturday Night gets on my last nerve too. And don't get me started on the rap. Just let the band play and be done with it. Now get off my lawn.

Song was good. Sometimes great. But Lord, has LSU beaten it to death. Just leave it alone

The “Bitch, I’m From Louisiana” song is so bad. It doesn’t even have a rhythm or beat. It needs to go.

"Callin' Baton Rouge" is a country music song written by Dennis Linde. It was originally recorded by The Oak Ridge Boys on their 1978 album Room Service, and was later recorded by New Grass Revival on their 1989 album Friday Night in America, and more famously by Garth Brooks on his 1993 album In Pieces.

Neck

Agreed

The band should just play it on repeat, pick up from wherever measure they stopped on, etc - make them earn their stipend

Get rid of the songs they play for each down, just play Neck

Why does anything need to be played at that point?

Never said it needs to be. I am a child of the 80's I remember days when the only music your heard in TS was the sweet sound the the Golden Band and I am fine with that. But this isn't the 80's or 90's they play music all during pregame warm ups and such.

Like Garth or not. His version is the only one worth a damn.

It’s a real shame imo that it gets the crowd more fired up than the band playing. it wasn’t like that until the last 5 years or so.

About the only time a band playing before a football game has ever got me pumped up was coming down the hill or maybe the fight song, all the other bullshite they play is exactly that, bullshite

The song wasn't meant to be "The Dance"

Just like "Fever" wasn't meant to be YMCA
