i got rear ended hard by someone who was driving a jeep (that they probably couldn't afford) with worn out mud tires on wet roads

About 10 years ago I had a driver on I-10 riding my arse and was driving like a maniac. So much so that he was inches from my bumper and damn near rear-ended me. I break-checked him and proceed to follow to the capitol parking lot in the same fashion so I could exchange obscenities. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to break check one of these drivers.

I use to drive “aggressively”. When someone would cut me off in traffic, I would get around them and cut back in front of them but would do it where my rear bumper would narrowly miss their front bumper as I rapidly and assertively switched lanes. It would get the point across. I stopped doing that and calm my driving once I noticed my girlfriend, now wife (no pics) who was always a calm driver started doing it.
I was fine if it was me because I felt in control but once she started it, I looked at it differently. I knew I would of felt horrible if something happened to her because of something she started doing because of me.
I’m glad I finally calmed down because driving has become much more peaceful.

Everytime I get on the road in Louisiana, I just assume outright that 1/4 of the drivers I'm sharing the road with are currently drunk.
Bad drivers exist everywhere but holy crap do they seem to multiply more than the norm in LA cities.
