This adorable piece of shite will not sleep in her crate. She has no problem during the day. She goes straight to it after being outside, no problem. Once the moon shows it dumb face she turns into a wolf that wants me to paint my wall with her. I’ve done dog parks, walks, melatonin with no luck. Her shrill bark is the worst.

We’re looking at 10 weeks here. Are there any other tips I can apply?

Move the crate into your room for a brief while. The best solution is to have the puppy simply cry it out and realize they won’t get any sort of acknowledgement for the barking. But that is much easier said than done.

Right? I look at her and calm down. Sleep deprivation is a bitch though

Stand your ground or try a radio or tv with the pup, good luck.

How long has it gone on before you went to her?
Some people cover the kennel, mine would rip it through & destroy it

Are you putting a blanket/sheet over the kennel so it can’t see out at things?

She'll be sleeping on your bed eventually. Might as well save a lot of frustration for both of you and cut to the chase.

Even though it is a little late, it is still worth buying Home Dog and Family Dog by Richard Wolters. You will not fail if following his method. I used his method following Water Dog and she was absolutely the finest lab I have ever been around even though RIP to her.

The puppies we have had that had issues with the kennel at night have all had the kennel put in the closed laundry room covered with a blanket. After a few nights they settled in. The problem just like an infant if you keep breaking down and giving them attention they will never stop.

Try a stuffed animal in the cage with it. That young, they may need the feel of another "puppy" in there with them.

Nah you prob have a dog that craves attention. Like more than other dogs.

Prob won't get better until year 3. If that.

This worked for me after just a day or two: Put some training treats in her crate periodically through the day. Leave the door open so that she can come and go as she pleases. She’ll see the crate as a fun place all of the time. Mine was fine during the day in the crate, just like yours, but didn’t like being left in there at night.
Then put them in at bed time, and close her in for the night.
Cute dog!
