so you went to 2 bars and a rural gas station that didn't require masks?

I guarantee I could have the exact same experience in Louisiana

I drove through 6 parishes this week, made stops in every single one of them and didn’t wear a mask one time. Bars, restaurants, post office, gas stations, tire store, car dealership, etc.

I can’t speak on Dallas bc I try not to go there. And you are right, nothing is “back to normal”. I jumped in this conversation when you said Texas is the same as Louisiana.

That is not true. I’m from New Orleans but live in Houston. I still consider NOLA home and hate defending Texas. But of the few times I’ve going home to visit my folks or friends come visit me, it’s always the same...Houston and New Orleans are not even close when comparing Covid restrictions.

Everywhere within the loop requires a mask pretty much. On the other hand, Restaurants and Bars here don’t seem to give a shite about capacity anymore and can open until 2.

When is Teedy going to let bars open past 11? We’re trying to schedule a bachelor party there and don’t want to get stuck in an Airbnb after 11.

It’s an absolute lie for someone to say they have gone to Houston or Dallas and everything felt normal

Other than a mask it feels completely normal and that seems to be more window dressing that anything. More and more places don't care at all or don't care if you chin diaper it.

I've been living my life as normal since like August of last year while your bars still close at dark

same for most of Louisiana

Texas had statewide bar closures in August and then had a statewide closing time of 11 pm till recently, so this seems like a lie

if you want to say that bars around you ignored the orders, well I could say the same thing about LA

Restaurants could stay open so everything was open. You're doing the classic OT thing where you don't know what you are talking about it practice but heard it so it's true

Other than capacity limits and not being able to stay open normal times I guess that's true

I've spent significant time in both, but I guess you can post it. Being correct has hindered you to this point.

I’m still waiting for the piles of dead bodies in Texas to start appearing like the social media COVID warriors told me would happen after Texas dropped its mask mandate.

you don't think all the bars here immediately opened makeshift kitchens so they could stay open?

Outside of trash arse NOLA, BR, and maybe Shreveport, I would imagine Louisiana is back to normal.

Thats a lie because bars didnt open in Texas until October..

quote:

Gov. Greg Abbott says bars can reopen
Gov. Greg Abbott says that bars in Texas can reopen for in-person service — as long as their county governments choose to allow it. Effective Oct. 14, bars in counties that opt in will be able to resume in-person service at 50% capacity, though all customers must be seated while eating or drinking.

I guess that's normal for someone like you that doesnt have any friends to hand out with

I think they may have had to close at midnight, but some were of course not following so closely.

I said I was living my life pretty much as normal, is it normal for you to be out until 2AM? Pretty rare for me, a lot of the places I go have always closed at midnight
