Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Asheville. Temperature today was 70-72. Beautiful scenery. Low humidity. Hardly any mosquitoes. Just all around awesomeness. Why do I live in the Deep South? I may move here. Summers in the Deep South are hateful and vile. Thank you for attending my TED Talk. Here’s a picture of mountains in North Carolina. Absolutely beautiful
I love that area of North Carolina. I used to stay at Fontana Village every year for Minis on the Dragon. Bomb to Bryson for Nantahala Brewery, Soda Pop's and the train museum, Wheels Through Time is cool, plenty of things to do out there.

it's beautiful but it's now full of hippies. NY-ers and Cali ppl have driven the prices through the roof.
if you wanna move there, better have a big arse chunk of change and a high tolerance for woke AF trust fund babies.

Lots of nice areas in Western NC. Probably is close to the best of all worlds with year round climate. Neither summers nor winters are typically months long brutality

Already joked with the wife if she ever divorces me I’m changing my number and heading for the NC/TN mountains
Franklin, Bryson City, and Murphy look like awesome places to live I’m really jealous

Go 3-4 hours towards the eastern part of the state and it was 106 with mosquitoes and cicadas taking over

That area is a tiny tiny percent of the N.C. mountains as a whole. Hell, you don’t even have to get outside of Asheville city limits to begin to get away from it

North Carolina is strong Biden territory.

Too late. They've been in Nashville for a decade now. And it's honestly a mix of conservatives and liberals. All the west coast conservatives live in Williamson County and all the liberals in Davidson County.

I loved Asheville but if I were to move itd be to the Triangle. I'm in tech so it'd make more sense for me, and it's very close to all of the beautiful things.

The Triangle and Charlotte are both great areas

This is how I know the Klan isn't a thing anymore. If they were half as powerful as the media wants you to believe they would've driven these wastes of flesh out years ago.

I have been here for 4 years. LA lifer, who moved to Houston for work. After 6 months, we realized Houston was crap. Then we made the best decision of our lives, and moved to the other side of Pisgah Forest in Transylvania County. I advise doing the same. The only thing I miss is seafood.

I moved here in 2009 and would never leave to go back to LA. Everything is better in NC except the food, but I can cook.

This. Even in Asheville the hipster/granola proggies are pretty much concentrated downtown and the surrounding area. The rest of Asheville, and all the other communities in western NC are anything but liberal. I've never seen so many damn Trump signs in my life.
I mean I was eating dinner at Rhubarb (great food btw) a few weekends ago and had the usual pink haired freaks holding up BLM signs in front of the Vance memorial, but I also counted a shite ton of baws in jacked up trucks. Even watched one roll coal by the freaks.
