10-year relationship.

You mean to say she actually believed you were going to get married after 10 YEARS? I don't think there's a woman alive who couldn't figure this out after 3 years max: "No way in hell this frick is gonna marry me."

Anyway, buy her some chocolates and one of them cards that say something like "Too bad it didn't work out, I hope we can be FWB." That should work.

Of all the things posted on this website, I've seen WAY more personal baggage. This isn't really that bad, imo.

I'm not even really suggesting that, more than just saying, of course people are going to speculate here. Silly arse high horse to get on.

After she gets over it she is going to frick everything that walks for a while.

Depends on what kind of person she is. I imagine something likea relationship of ten years all of a sudden ending would frick a person up (especially a girl). She'll either whore herself up for a while or turn into a recluse and be miserable.

Two can play at that game -.-

Not telling you shite. I don't care two shits what you do. I gave my opinion to the OP's post. If my opinion bothers you this much all I can tell you is to go get in the back of that long line of people who can kiss my arse.

How do you get that from

Sucks. I hate it. 10-year relationship. Engaged with no set date; we were discussing June and July next year. She wants to be married and have a baby. I do not want to marry her. This is not panic, I have been thinking about this for a while now. I am telling her tonight. She will be devastated.

Any sincere advice or words of wisdom are appreciated.

1. Break up
2. Get mad when you see her out with some other dude about to take her to pound town.
3. Get back together and get married.

I'd say if a relationship has gone on this long without marriage(and both actually believe in marriage)....that's a clear sign something is seriously wrong with it(unless they started dating when they were really young).

True and if that biological clock is ticking she may latch on to the first person that comes along no matter what.

I was engaged when I was 21... we got into a fight when we were drunk in public and she took the ring off and I snatched it and never gave it back.

That said, I was having doubts about going through with it for about 6 months before the incident and I saw an opportunity and took it.

I felt terrible for months because it crushed her... she moved away from home across the country because of all the, "I thought you were getting married?" questions.

I don't envy you at all... but it's better to rip the band-aid now as opposed to later when kids may be involved and she's even more invested.

Good luck
