I have been fortunate in that I haven’t been to one in a very long time. My dilemma is that I don’t have any funeral appropriate clothes. I will have to make do.

At my disposal I have black or blue pants, a white button up, grey blazer and black or brown boots.

I don’t know what to wear.

Talk to the Church Elders and see what their opinion would be.

That’s fine for a funeral these days.

The last funeral I went to in NOLA, someone showed up in a light blue leisure suit.

I'll be doing everyone a favor by being cremated.

I should really have one. This was a sudden passing.

I’m just more of a jean and button up polo guy. No reason to get fancy.

Obviously I appreciate the responses. My gut was the black pants and white shirt just didn’t think the blazer was going to go with it.

You’ve never been to a wedding or cocktail party?

Yes and in that instance I would wear my blue pants and one of my blue dress shirt, but I’m not about to go celebrate this man’s life today in a tobasco tie

Still have funerals for cremations, just no burial at cemetery. Then there is normally an inurnment ceremony that takes place later though.

You do realize people being cremated still have funerals, right?
