and "outed" on social media or wherever else for wearing blackface.

Outed for what? Being a member of a mostly black krewe that considers white people painting their face black as part of the festivities?

These clowns can't tell black people they should be offended.

Seriously.. How many black people do you think really gives a shite that some white person painted their face black? There are people who will be "offended" because they were told it is offensive.. But again, you can't tell a krewe of mostly black members that what they have been doing for years they must now be offended by it.

It seems like all white people from the mid east and California or either racist AF or think that they are "fighting for black people" when have of them have probably never really hung out with a black person.

The new New Orleans give a shite. There's a price to pay to make this city livable. When these young north eastern and west coast gentrifiers move in, they bring their values with them. And what we're seeing is those values don't include new Orleans traditions.

Same as the Californians moving to Texas, as shown by an extreme liberal Beto barely loosing to a conservative Ted Cruz. It’s all just a matter of time.

But black face is ok if you are on the right side.

I'm honestly a little sick of these Dutch Morial / Paul Valteau-colored "Zulu" people getting to play the Black card. Wouldn't mind seeing it shut down like Comus was.

That wasn't "ok" though. Ted danson and whoopi goldberg both took alot of shite with that and had to make apologies all over the place. And this was back when people weren't nearly as "sensitive" as they are now.

Ted danson didn't get away with jack shite on all that. I don't think it matters which side you're on.

Yes, that's exactly it.

The new New Orleans doesn't give a shite about Zulu's traditions and more importantly neither do outsiders who do business here and do business with these blackface white participants.

All it will take is for one professional or business dealing or position to turn to shite because a new Orleans white person adhered to the "traditions" of zulu.

Imagine you're a lawyer with a local firm that represents a national business. Now imagine some indignant, self righteous a-hole posts on social media that you wear blackface. Well your out of state business client isn't gonna give a shite about Zulu's "traditions". He's gonna give a shite about his public's perception and because of that, your firm just lost a major client.

I think this sorta thing happened last year, i just can't place it.

No it is a tradition of the parade.

It also comes from origins that have nothing to do with black people

Well not according to the Zulu organization. They say it's about south African warriors or some shite.

This article pretty much says it has alot to do with black folks

Ted Danson did get a lot of crap at the time for wearing black face with Whoopi but since he has always been a major SJW he still had had a ton of major TV roles & sitcoms since then. Anyone seen Michael Richards lately? Different rules for different people.

Those links seem to be supportive of continuing the black make up and suggest the "controversy" is over.

And rightfully so. They shouldn't be forced to change their parade just to accommodate people too stupid to grasp the difference between war paint and minstrel shows.

Man the rules aren't "different for different people".

Michael Richards was caught on camera, completely losing his shite, throwing the "N" word around all over the place, directly at black people who were in the audience.

Ted Danson and Michael Richards aren't even remotely the same.

The controversy is not over. It's dormant and it's about to reawaken with a petty vengeance and once again, a black mayor will have to talk about it.

This shite's far from over. You'll see.

Unfortunately I think you’re right. SJWs are parasites who are never satiated.
