Then why would the race of the students matter? It's a completely irrelevant aspect of the discussion, unless you view minorities as separate and unequal from whites in their capacity or desire for learning.
Demographics go way beyond just race.
But you keep your head in the ground, and I'll just continue noticing things.

Send your kids to private school.
It eliminates the public school bs.

I'm asking you. You're the one that inserted it into the conversation. You said they just need more money to be spent "the right way"
What do you mean by that? And why don't they spend their current money the right way?

You'd have to ask them? Unless you think they are spending it in the right ways now.
That is where the concept of “give them more money” fails.
Any additional money given would simply be spent in the wrong way.
Fix the administrations of these god awful daycares, allow for students to be expelled and removed. Start there.
If things don’t improve after they start spending the money correctly, then we can talk about giving them more.

I'm a SRO and you are absolutely correct on all 3 counts.

You're absolutely right. So which demographic aspect(s) do you think have the most impact?
Age, sex, employment status, religion, and home ownership don't seem to be relevant to the discussion.
So really it's race and income level. Obviously household income level has an impact so, if that's the specific demographic point you were speaking to, I apologize and agree with you.

As I've said before, I can only speak to what I am seeing in my immediate area.

The real problem traces back to 1979.

No. Any teacher who touches my kids will get their arse beat.
The rest of your post is subjective at best.

And cultural.
Some cultures value education more than others and it's not a racial thing.

God can be anywhere he wants. I’ll add that a God of mercy grace and love is not a bad thing to have ina place where children may not get it from their parents.
Ah yes, nothing says freedom like mandatory religious belief

This is directly from your link. They are cutting because they have way less students. Why wouldn't they cut in that situation? Also, it appears most of the cuts are coming from the bloated administration, which was likely overstaffed even with the higher enrollments of years past.
quote:
Miles argues the deep cuts are necessary because the district is headed toward a “fiscal cliff” created by years of enrollment declines

“We cut a lot of positions in central office and that’s very painful,” Miles said.

This is such a stupid, mindless comment.. I’m not even a boomer, but I have to admit, this stupid arse, overused insult bothers me way more than it should.
How about some originality? Why can’t you use something you’ve coined yourself? You just regurgitate some lame arse insult that’s been hurled around a thousand times
I’ll hop off my pedestal now. Can’t wait for the ‘ok boomer’ replies
