I imagine that most middle class and up black people don't want to be around thugs or trash either.
I'm friends with a black guy at work that's not from LA and he always asks me whether or not a new place he wants to try is in a dangerous neighborhood.
I guess I shouldn't find it unusual but I always do for some reason

*They could be homeless white San Franciscans or Appalachian meth heads...Hispanic, Asian, Black, whatever.
Some people get mad when demographic trends in crime are discussed. The root causes are always poverty, dysfunctional/single parent family structure, and lack of decent education - especially in urban areas where the government cultivates and nurtures all of the above.

Just head out, get some wings, have a cold grape soda in a tall glass, take a few deep breaths and collect yourself.
Now realize that the bad guy now knows you have something worth stealing and is waiting for you to leave so he can go get it.

Had a home invasion while I lived in BR in college. Was a “brother” but my white trash roommate was as much to blame for having some ho over while I was out of town and she had her pimp come rob our place blind the next morning.
Moral of the story is I fricking hate BR outside of Saturday’s in the fall ever since and I hate all scummy people no matter their pigment

There is nothing better than hearing someone who tried to break into someone's house.. getting shot. It needs to be more risky for them to break into places..

We have stand your ground laws in LA but they don't cover shooting someone running away. No use ruining your life over stuff.
If they confront you or threaten you in your house than by all means, fire away.
