I'm 43 years old and went to my doctor yesterday

And complained about lack of focus and follow through so he put me on 20mg of Adderall XR per day. Took one this morning at 6am and I feel like the most effective human in the world. If this is how it will be from here on out this is a total game changer for me. Any other adults been prescribed this and what have your experiences been?

I was never prescribed it but my roommate got it in college. I could study and pass anything, drink all night like a champ. You are addicted to it though. He can't function without it. It's been nearly 20 years.

1. Take only when needed. It is highly addictive and people who take it regularly get dependent on it. You think you are unmotivated now? Take it for a few months every day then dont take it. You will be dead to the world.
2. If it's XR its not as bad a crash but there really is no avoiding it. Around 7-10pm you will start to slow and and get tired. Just how it is. Some people get moody when this happens.

I did the same thing. Had the same results. You are correct, it is a game changer for me as well. IDGAF what the OT doctors thing/say.
