Recently I was told don’t be caught going to a store off of siegen between the interstate and airline now after dark. I’ve never seen it personally but people are saying the crowds gathering in the parking lots are surprising.

One person I know speculated on the methadone clinic being on Reiger as the catalyst

There’s some section 5 apartment complexes on Siegen behind some of the stores. That’s the source. They’re low key hoods that regular people wouldn’t know exist unless you end up back there

Edit: section 8

A story I'll never forget from the early 00's was an LSU student leaving Olive Garden where he worked. He was escorting a female coworker when a car pulled up and a dude jumped out with a pistol. Robbery turned murder when the other guy in the car kept screaming "shoot him, shoot him!"

Kid was doing everything right and was killed by scum

I know the girl. She was shot as well and left for dead. fricked her up royally.

If you had a working brain, you’d understand why.

I was friggin there. Walking out of Jambalaya Shoppe and I was facing that way. 2 guys were in the back corner, and it seemed like they shot at a guy coming out of the back door of ihop. 5 shots. National Guard dudes ran out of their location, and were working their way towards the ihop. Insane

Yea this sounds like a hit on an employee taking out trash or a smoke break. Terrible. But not exactly random.

Wow. I lived on seigen about a mile from highland back in college. The area was beginning to be developed, and all was clean and quiet. Nothing had really been developed between the interstate and airline yet.

Methadone clinic. Go figure.

Never would have thought that area would have turned bad.

All daylight hours, Siegan lane is littered with bums, and hookers turning tricks at the Motel 6, dashing back and forth across the street to the dollar general.

I know Total Wine wanted to get into the market, and the old Office Depot was a good building for them, but I bet they regret their decision within 2 years. People who want to go into TW and spend money aren't going to want to have to fight off the bums as they walk back to their car.

And while the bums mostly leave the Office Depot crowd alone, once they realize a substantially larger number of people will be in and out of there, they will migrate over no doubt

Oh no, you busted me. It was me and not a generation of Leftist political indoctrination and Democratic "leadership" and the engineered dissolution of the family that brought us to this point of civilizational decline. I have been exposed. All of this stuff "just happened" and shame on me for noticing. 5 minute Self-ban instituted.

It’s not the bums. Siegen became a shithole when they built all those massive apartments around there.

Where'd you live? I grew up in Village St George, since 75. My parents moved into the first filing of VSG in 1969 or 70.

I remember when that stretch of Siegen between 10 and Airline was nothing but pasture besides the Holiday Inn and Honore's Nursery.
Then came McDonalds, KMart, Waffle House, etc.

There wasn't much on Siegen in the 80s. Bluebonnet either other than Jimmy Swaggarts place.
