Igor's bar on St. Charles Avenue robbed at gunpoint for 2nd time in less than a month

NOLA: "Both robberies happened around lunchtime"
First: NOLA.com is the absolute worst. No description of the perps other than stereotyping that they were "males." How does NOLA.com know they were males--they don't so they gender assigned the they/thems. I wonder if they gender assigning these perps as males because the use of the word they/them would appear discriminatory if the perps were African-American.
Second: why wasn't the first robbery of Igors covered by the local media?
"A man with a gun demanded money from the register, according to preliminary information from New Orleans police. A second man served as a lookout during the robbery.
An employee gave the gunman the money, police said, and then the two men fled."

Reminds me of the scene from L.A. Story: My name's Bob, I'll be your robber today.."
With no consequences, shite like this will only escalate.

I know it’s annoying but after that, i would have a sign up at the door that no cash transaction will be accepted and no cash is kept on the premises due to two prior armed robberies.
And l would legit not have cash in the registers. Most everyone uses a card now days anyway

Kind of near Poseidon and Hotel Indigo. Not traditionally a dangerous neighborhood, but there's been some issues in the past there and it's damn close to some sketchy parts.
This is the kind of shite that can really wreck a neighborhood if it's not dealt with.

I don't watch the first 48, but do they ever have episodes that are in New Orleans?

The problem with that is that hurts their business, as lots of people do use cash. Especially tourists in a touristy city.

So does being robbed at gunpoint in front of said tourists.
The real issue here is the recidivism that's pervasive in New Orleans because the DA's and judges don't enforce the fricking law. These assholes get arrested, get a slap on the wrist (and that's if the charges aren't dropped for racial/political reasons), and they are out again in no time just as brazen as ever.
If there are no consequences to breaking the law, then you may as well not have laws.

The scary part of Igor's getting hit is the fact that it has long been a defacto NOPD hangout, even more so since the St. Charles Tavern & Streetcar Cafe closed down. Should tell everyone just how much the NOPD police force has dwindled because they were in that place 24/7 on duty for their burgers and off duty for their bloody mary's.

Then they'll just shoot you for the inconvenience
