The point of that thread is definitely to downplay the negativity of slavery and to shift blame. You even have people acting like the Republican party of 150 years ago was the same party of today like there wasn't a political realignment. That is overtly a white supremacist thread that garnered overwhelming support. And frankly you're touched and/or simply dishonest if you don't see it.
