no i just don't cam-interact with people much anymore

but that's the best option some people have. i can imagine some people i know (mainly girls) would not like that being their only option

The answer is Yes if you want to keep her happy.

I dated a girl that I would see for a couple hours every day after work. I usually wouldnt sleep over because I didnt sleep well there cuz her dog slept in the bed.

I had same issue, but it was a cat.

Can't sleep when something like that is going on.

I get really fidgety.

If you're very busy, she'll call.
If you've got 3 minutes to wolf down lunch, she'll call.
If there is no way to answer, she'll call.
If there are 13 people asking you questions all at once, she'll call.
Then she will call to bitch at you for not answering her call if one of the above is the case.
She alcohol calls when she's horny, so life is good.

More than once, and I expect to see her at least once a day if it is somewhat serious (over 6 months)

You don't live together but you expect to see her every single day?

You don't think that's a lil clingy?

Yup and nope. If I don't get that interaction, my mind wanders and I lose interest quickly.

Usually at 6 months, we would be sleeping together almost every night.

Eta: Plus, I require a lot of sex from my GFs. They don't put out, they get put out

Each relationship is unique and carries only a couple of absolute does and don'ts. Most questions are better framed as whether its working for you than whether its right and proper.

At this point (been together nearly 2 years) I see her almost every day. We either have lunch or she comes over for dinner and spends the night. In the beginning, we talked every day (even if it was just after work, seeing how each other's day was) and saw each other 2 or 3 times a week (once during the week and twice over the weekend).

I expect to interact everyday if I'm in a relationship with someone, barring extreme circumstances. At least texts. Current BF is particularly into lots of contact. We text a ton, call, FaceTime a few times/day, and see each other 3-4 days a week. We are the only people I know who actually use facetime. Probably an unhealthy level of clinginess for grown arse adults, but I'm cool with it.

Dating for 6+ months, yes I do expect to talk to the SO every day. Even if it's only a couple texts just to acknowledge the other person. I've had weird schedules when I couldn't see my SO for weeks at a time and I would work at night and she would work during the day, but I still made time to send her a couple texts at least. If a woman in a relationship hasn't said anything to you in over 24 hours, she's clearly pissed at you. A guy in a relationship doesn't necessarily mean the same thing, a lot of us just don't care about talking, but it's still rude on our part if we don't try to talk to the SO at least once a day

Yeah, for the most part.

what is an average time per day you expect to interact with him/her?

Mornings, and after work. Sometimes text or gchat during the day.

what would you feel is a troubling amount in a day? week?

If it started interfering with work or other daily routines.

does phone, skype, personal, etc matter?

I've never skyped. Currently I see her every day and if I'm out of town I at least call.

My SO used to text/chat/email me about 50-60 times a day, i kid you not. It was annoying as frick, so I finally told her and quit responding to all of that shite. Hell, i would need a full time secretary just to respond to all of her messages. It has gotten better since I quit responding to all of them-i feel like that just feeds fuel to the fire.

ETA: To answer your question: yes, based on the above, it is almost necessary for US to talk everyday.
