If you’re going to camp in the left lane, at least be **actively** passing

You’re already one of the worst people in the world, but you can save a little grace by adding a few MPH to your speed in an effort to quickly pass vehicles in the right lane. Hell, I’d rather you pass me doing 100 than pass me one MPH over my speed. At least you’re not going to trap me behind a truck.
Don’t take 2-5 minutes to pass, blocking everyone else in behind the slower semis.
I’m looking at you Tennessee. The most frustrating state to drive through on the interstates. Did y’all learn to left lane camp in drivers Ed?

Drive 3.5 hours yesterday and passed a ton of cars on the right. People do not know how to drive anymore.

Maybe it's because I do alot more city driving these days, but I'm becoming even more annoyed by people on city streets that don't take up available space between their car and the car further ahead of them.
If you're 200 feet behind the car ahead of you then you, me, and the next few cars behind us will all sit at the next light because it will turn red before we get there. If you would just take up the space to the next car then alot more of us will make it through the upcoming intersection.
And then there's the assholes that anticipate a green light turning yellow so they slow down as they approach distant intersections then stop when it turns yellow.

Its a regular conversation on a local FB page, never fails that people will try to justify themselves camping in the left lane by telling others to slow down.
My pet peeve: people taking their sweet time when making a left turn at a traffic light which holds up people behind them which will most likely cause people to wait through another light.

Driving Alabama interstates last weekend, I came to realize the right lanes are horrible. rough as hell... and I mean rough. Left lanes tended to be okay. I stayed in the left lane as much as possible.
Fix the roads.

Yeah, they're the ones tailgating a car length behind causing traffic backups when people touch their brakes. I see it on I40 here every day. Usually the slow lane is faster because the left lane is everyone hitting their brakes all the time causing eventual standstills.

If you're driving outside the norms of the general flow of traffic, whether fast or slow, you're driving unsafely.

I don't know when this trend joined the culture but it blocks people from turning and causes congestion at the intersection.

That's fine, but that doesn't change OPs point. You can drive all you want in the left lane without holding up traffic, just be aware of your surroundings.

The problem is people 1) don't know the law 2) are way more important than you.
Seriously, going 80 in a 75 in the left lane while still passing traffic in the right is legal.
But you just bought a new dodge ram and mounted a harbor freight welder in the bed, threw on your pit vipes and now anything under 90 is too slow for you.

its deliberate. they're being passive-aggressive assholes and match their speed so you can never get around them w/ the traffic in the right lane.
i love how they speed up when there's a gap in an attempt to trap you behind the next vehicle in the right-hand lane then slow down again and take forever to pass it.
i cant help but agree with the OP that its ridiculous. speed limit on the TN interstates is 70 but we're all going 64 because of the asshat left lane citizens policing our speed.
another pet peeve, theres a super busy single lane traffic light on my way to my kid's school in the morning and there's always someone trying to turn but there's no arrow and a steep ravine on either side so we all sit through one, two..or more light cycles because the timid grandmother wont turn after the traffic stops coming and the light has changed.
as such, if i see a car facing me at the light with a blinker and i'm first in line opposite waiting for it to turn green i always flash my lights when the light changes so the person knows they can turn and relieve the suffering of everyone sitting behind them.
NOBODY ELSE does that. this seems like a simple courtesy that literally cost me about 1-2 seconds of travel time and helped a whole line of backed up cars.

Where do my tax dollars go? Seems we pay billions in taxes, but we can't keep roads paved? I've been complaining for 2 years now, some of the state/county roads near my house have huge pot holes, and edges basically gone, and if you hit one, it could throw your car in a ditch.
Can never get them fixed.

I hate these people with the heat of 1000 suns. How can they not comprehend their idiocy when 5-10 cars are stacked up behind them? Mostly they just don’t give a frick which is why they deserve some form of punishment, including caning for extreme cases.
Most a-hole drivers I see are Texas.

In my area they recently completed a huge interstate expansion adding 2 even 3 lanes…
…so now the assholes populate the left 2-3 lanes and you still have to pass on the right
